Should I Work with a Brand Ambassador or Influencer? (The pros and the cons)

Influencers

Influencer marketing is not a new market, you just might not have realized it! Celebrities are the OG’s of influencer marketing with a different name. At PREM, we believe influencer marketing is under the umbrella that makes up PR & Social Media. It’s necessary for businesses to collaborate with others and promote their brand – but doing it right is what makes it worthwhile.

The power in using social media influencers is its ability to level up your business by humanizing it, boosting your reputation, increasing awareness, and essentially giving you reach – funny how they are called influencers, right?

But, is this the direction your company should go in right now? With giving the image of your company control to others you have to accept the risk that they will be associated with your business. That’s why we are here to help give you useful tips on picking the RIGHT influencers to work with.

First, always make sure you are picking influencers that align with your brand. Do they generate real engagement? Are their followers genuine? Do their followers hit the reach you are looking for? The influencer doesn’t need to be a macro-influencer, micro-influencers with around 5,000 to 25,000 followers could generate your business more reach depending on how their market aligns with yours, that’s why doing the research is essential.

Second, recognize that whoever you choose to promote your business is a representation of that. Do their posts align with a tone you would support? Would you be comfortable with them being a distinct face of your brand?

Last, be willing to accept the risks! Influencers may not always generate real results, but you can learn from what worked and what didn’t the next go around. You have to be willing to put in the cost and risk for incredible returns.

PREM is all-in for influencers. They are definitely worth utilizing for any brand!
